Name: Phu
Age: 38 years
Birth Place: Isaan
Fights: 400+
Experience: 28yrs
About: Phu started his long illustrious career at 10 years old. Lamnang Khong was Phu’s fighting name and through his teenage years he won many titles and belts in various weight divisions. At 17 years old Phu went to Bangkok, where he spent over 8 years fighting at both Lumpini and Ratchadamoen stadiums. Promoters sheltered their fighters from Phu, so he was unfortunate to never win a world title, but he remains famous in Thailand for his beautiful style of fighting. Phu is well loved by students and locals alike and has been working on Koh Phangan for the last 9 years. He is a well-rounded padholder, works as a fight promoter and also can be heard on the mic commentating at Muay Thai shows around the island.

TESTIMONIALS
‘We had a great time staying in the camp to prepare our team for the Word Championships in 2014. The accommodation and the food were perfect for us. At Diamond there are many good trainers who really take the time to teach you technique and lots of tricks. Solid pad holders who push you to your limits. Definitely we will come back.’

‘Training at Diamond Muay Thai was an amazing experience. Working with experienced trainers like Mon helped me to sharpen my technique and improve various aspects of my game. Besides the great training Simon, Jesse and the rest of the guys are super friendly and welcome everyone with open arms. Being on Koh Phangan amongst amazing beaches and surroundings doesn’t hurt either. I’ll definitely be back!’

‘I have been visiting Diamond since November 2011 and I have also fought for them on several occasions. The Diamond family have always made me very welcome and every day of training with them is a pleasure! Diamond is professionally run with a mix of beginners and intermediates training alongside both International and Thai fighters. The trainers (especially Mon) are exceptional. I will be back again in 2015!’
